Episkopos Reverend Alixtii O'Krull V, TRL was ordained by the Universal Life Church in 2001 and founded the Church of St. Jesu the Heretic, Discordian shortly thereafter. The reverend is an avid fan of science fiction programs such as Buffy the Vampire Slayer and uses this journal mainly for the purpose of posting fanfiction. Beta Policy: Always in the market for a beta. The more the merrier. If you want me to beta, ask and I'll tell you yes or no, depending on any of an entire manifold of potential factors. Ficathon Policy: If you've gotten a request of mine in a ficathon, turn around now (or not, feel free and read whatever you like, but the following still applies). It's not your job to make a fic that I'll like. It's your job to be true to your muse and make as good--for whatever value of "good" your aesthetic standards require--a story you can using the prompts I've given you. If I knew what type of story I wanted, I would have written it myself. I might not like the story you end up writing, but that's my problem, isn't it? I'm tough. I can take it. Concrit Policy: Please give feedback in as much or as little detail as you feel it requires. Pointing out typographical errors, spelling mistakes, and grammatical errors is especially appreciated--much of my fic is posted unbetaed. (Volunteering to act as a beta is also appreciated.) Negative criticism may hurt, but I'm tough. I can take it. It's more important to me that people approach my fics which a critical and thoughtful eye than that they walk away enjoying them (although of course I try for that too!). Friend Policy: Feel free to friend this journal. Warning Policy: As of 2 Feb 2006, I no longer warn for character death, language, alcohol/drug use, etc. Caveat lecteur. The exception to this is rape/noncon -- I will always warn for rape or noncon. I will also usually warn for incest if it is not made obvious by the pairing, and I'll try to warn for content which would be be potentially illegal to read in Australia. Disclaimer Policy: My fics do not have individual disclaimers. My assumption is that anyone who has been in fandom for two minutes will be able to recognize which characters and situations I did not invent. However, if it requires saying, in this fanfic I utilize characters that I did not create--most commonly ones created by Joss Whedon. I will also use dialogue, situations, etc. from canon that I assume a well-versed fan would recognize, as well as allusions to other media (for example, poetry that I might expect a member of my flist to recognize). These references may or may not be explicitly cited as such. Authorial Intent Policy: The owner of this journal is of the firm opinion that the intentional fallacy is a fallacy, i.e. that information about the creator is not relevant to analysis of a source text. I pretty much abandoned any legal right to my fiction when I made it a work of copyright infringement (and how hypocritical would I be if I demanded rights that I don't respect in others?), and I don't believe that authors have any non-legal moral rights to their creations.
